MacBuddy

Privacy policy

Updated: Jun 10, 2026

MacBuddy is a reading and discovery tool — you browse, we point you to Mac apps. That purpose shapes everything about how data is handled here.

Measurement, not surveillance

We record page views, scroll depth, and Web Vitals timings in aggregate — the kind of signal that tells us whether a listing page loads quickly or whether a category is useful. No personally identifiable information is attached to any measurement event.

No accounts, no forms, no profiles

There is no registration, no wishlist, no login. We hold no names, email addresses, or payment details of any kind — because we never ask for them. A directory built on trust cannot be built on surveillance.

Tracking and cookies

Analytics run without cookies and without cross-site identifiers. You will not find a cookie banner here because there is nothing to consent to. Third-party tracking scripts are not loaded on any page.

When you click an external link

App Store pages, developer sites, and download links open the publisher's own domain. MacBuddy has no visibility into what happens after you leave — and no commercial relationship with any of those publishers that would give us reason to care.

Data requests

Questions about this policy or requests related to any data we hold: [email protected].
